The opening ceremonies for the Ellsworth 250 Centennial will begin July 20th at 12:00 p.m. on the steps of City Hall. The playing of the national anthem by the Fletcher's Landing Philharmonic Orchestra will start the event.

Saturday's the Big Day Under the Tent at Knowlton Community Park

The Ellsworth Rotary Club's 51st annual Blueberry Pancake Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, July 27th. This year's breakfast will be served from 7 to 10:30 a.m., rain or shine, under the tent at Knowlton Community Park. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. All-you-can-eat blueberry pancakes will be cooked up by experienced Rotary Club chefs. Sausage, syrup, butter, orange juice, milk and coffee will complete the meal.

ELLSWORTH — Although snow may be on the ground, the Ellsworth Garden Club is springing ahead with a range of programs and projects to help cultivate ‘community’ during the growing season.
As part of that lineup, the club conceived and is organizing some events and projects to celebrate the city of Ellsworth’s 250th birthday this year.
